Undoing the learnt behaviours of a lifetime spent in the corporate world takes time.
In November, I was the “keen as a bean” new business owner who created their branding, set up their website, created their documents and sent them off to be printed.
Seven months on and I now realise that most of the branding and documents don’t reflect the real me. Yes, there are parts of me in there but mostly they are the words of “corporate” Deb and not “small business owner” Deb who needs to relate to a different demographic to gain new clients.
If communication is key then my ramblings and fancy words are more than likely lost on most who reads them, if anyone does read them.
Being yourself is the order of the day. To be authentic and real is essential.
Now I have the task of re-writing my proposition in REAL words that speaks to the people I want to hear me. I don’t want to be the best-kept secret anymore.
So – I HELP SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS GET THEIR ADMIN SORTED SO THEY CAN CONCENTRATE ON BUILDING THEIR BUSINESS, WORKING VIRTUALLY FROM MY HOME OFFICE.
